Brothers and Sisters!
Assalam o Alleyykum
[Peace be upon You]
The literal meaning as per oxford English Reference Dictionary of:
Fort:
- A fortified building or position
Fortify:
- provide or equip with defensive work so as to strengthen against attack
- strengthen or invigorate physically, mentally or morally
Brothers and Sisters! Technically Fort is a place where anything can be kept for safe keeping and arrangements are made that should there be an outside attack then there are equipment within the fort to protect the valuables.
For example:
In human body Head is made of strong bones that is hollow inside and the brain is kept in it. Why? Because the brain is combination of tissues which save the data i.e. knowledge, in them by learning, reading, observation, experience and otherwise. This knowledge is used to expend day to day life.
Brothers and Sisters! This knowledge need to be protected because if there is any damage to the brain then the data can be disturbed and it can affect the day to day life and otherwise.
Brothers and Sisters! Deen e Islam is combination of Islamic Values revealed in the Guidance of Allah and Teachings of the Prophets.
Brothers and Sisters! Islamic Values when learned they are stored in the brain which perform many jobs e.g.
-
expend day to day life in accordance with the Guidance of Allah and Teachings of the Prophets
-
prevent the attacks of Naffas and Shaitan and if the attacks are vigorous then fight
-
administer the Politics of the state so that the waves of Peace and Harmony keep emerging
-
resolve the disputes between the two parties
-
devise economic polices to exploit the treasures of the universe
-
devise the social polices to establish cohesion among the people
-
etc.
Brothers and Sisters! As per the Guidance of Allah the mankind was created as a viceroy of Allah (SWT) so that they recognise Allah (SWT). The test was and is that if anyone recognises Allah (SWT) he will live in Paradise forever and if he does not recognise Allah (SWT) he will live in Hell.
Brothers and Sisters! The nearest meanings of Hadith e Qudsi
are to the effect:
Allah (SWT) said to the Prophet Mohammed (SAW):
I was a hidden Treasure.
I wished I be recognised.
So I created Jinn and Inss.
Brothers and Sisters! The Ulema e Karam elaborate the context of the above Hadith e Qudsi that the one who expends his life in accordance with the Guidance of Allah (SWT) he recognises Him and the one who does not expend his life in accordance with His Guidance, he does not recognise Him (SWT).
Brothers and Sisters! For the test of recognition, Allah (SWT) inflicted Naffas within the disposition of mankind who lures him to satisfy the Sensual Appetite. When the Naffas lures him to satisfy Sensual Appetite the Shaitan comes along and encourages him to go ahead and satisfy the Sensual Appetite.
Brothers and Sisters! The element of satisfaction of Sensual Appetite led the mankind not to recognise Allah (SWT) where, the whole of mankind was heading towards the Fires of Hell except a few.
Brothers and Sisters! Allah (SWT) had mercy upon the mankind and commissioned Khatim ul Anbiyya Hazrat Mohammed (SAW) for the Revival of Ethical Values in the whole world.
Brothers and Sisters! Alhamdu’lillah! The Prophet Mohammed (SAW) revived the Ethical Values within Jazeera tul Arab and educated and trained Sahaba (RTU) (accomplices) to revive the Ethical Values in every corner of the world.
Brothers and Sisters! Sahaba e Karam (RTU) fulfilled their duty and responsibility where they educated and trained the forthcoming offspring to keep on reviving the Ethical Values and this chain will be carried on until the Day of Resurrection.
Brothers and Sisters! Although the Ethical Values kept on being revived but, gradually, the Paganistic Values overpowered the Ethical Values and the mankind once again was on the road towards the Fires of Hell.

Brothers and Sisters! The Islamic States were also overpowered by the Paganistic Values who were supposed to revive the Ethical Values.
Brothers and Sisters! As the centre points of Islam i.e. Jazeera tul Arab were also influenced by the Paganistic Values
so there had to be a new centre point from where the Islamic Values start emerging in their real form and then spread all over the world.
Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that the piece of land, now called Pakistan, was chosen the new Centre Point for the Revival of Ethical Values.
Brothers and Sisters! Please glance through the chain of following circumstantial evidence:

India is a sub continent where Muslims came to revive the Ethical Values in the times of Hajjaj bin Yusuf.

Alhamdu’lillah! The Ethical Values kept on reviving and the inhabitants of the sub-continent of India embraced Islam and this process went for another 1000 years.

However, the heads of the states gave in to the satisfaction of Sensual Appetite where the British government, gradually, held the reins of the Politics
of the sub- continent of India.

The economic polices of the British government were though on the basis of Islamic Values but the social polices were based on Paganistic Values i.e. satisfaction of Sensual Appetite. This polluted the minds of the Muslims as well.

However, it is natural phenomenon that the oppression of mind cannot go on forever and there has to be a change in thinking.

As both communities, Muslims and Hindues, as a one unit, wanted to take the reins of Politics in their own hands so they asked the British government to pack its bag and leave the matter to them. For this purpose All India Congress was formed in 1884 where both Muslim and Hindues were its members.

But in public meetings, conferences and otherwise it came to light that the Hindu leaders more interested to take the reins of power in their own hand and suppress the Muslims.

Ulema e Karam and Allama Iqbal realised this situation and put forward the proposition to establish a separate state for the Muslims where they have their life structure upon the Islamic Values.

The base of establishment of Pakistan in the words of Molana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (RA).

In June 1928 Molana Hussain Ahmad Madni and Molana Abdul Majid came to see Molana Ashraf Ali Thanvi.
Molana Ashraf Ali Thanvi said to the effect:
The heart longs for a piece of land where Islamic Values could be practised i.e.
-
all legal jurisdiction and rules regulation are in accordance with the Sharia
-
there should be Bait ul Ma’al
-
Zakat system
-
Sharia courts
-
Etc.
How can we derive these results by integration with other nations? For this object there should be a Muslim organisation and that should work to achieve the object.
Brothers and Sisters! The above circumstantial evidence depicts that a separate state should be established where seeds of Islamic Values should be sown and then the stems, branches, leaves, flowers would emerge and the Ethical Values would be revived on the footsteps of Khatim ul Anbiyya (SAW).
Brothers and Sisters! Alhamdu’lillah! This object was achieved. When the sub-continent India was divided the state of Pakistan was on two side of united India i.e. East Pakistan and West Pakistan.
Brothers and Sisters! Apart from Muslim majority in East and West Pakistan there were hundreds of thousands Muslims who did not migrate to either East Pakistan or West Pakistan. They remained in India.
Brothers and Sisters! Now if we look at the geography of the Muslim states it looks like this:

East and West Pakistan is on two sides of India

The adjoining Muslim states with West Pakistan are Iran
and Afghanistan

Then the Muslim States in the Middle East
are adjoining with Iran and Afghanistan

There are hundreds and thousand of Muslims in Russia and China and in the Far East, Indonesia, Malaysia
Brothers and Sisters! The object of the establishment of the State of Pakistan was that its constitution should be based on the Qur’an and Hadith where the Politics of the state will be administered on the basis of Sharia and then the other Islamic States had just to get rid of the Paganistic Values from their lives and then, once again, the atmosphere of the times of the Khatim ul Anbiyya (SAW) and Sahaba Karam will prevail.
Brothers and Sisters! But unfortunately after the departure of the founders of Pakistan Qaid e Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Liaqat Ali Khan the politics was administered by the people with Secular mentality and now after sixty years Pakistan which was established as Fort of Islam is on the verge of collapse.
Brothers and Sisters! Why Pakistan is termed as Fort of Islam because there was no danger to its boundaries from a foreign attack as there were two Muslim Armies on both sides of India and there were hundreds of thousands Muslims living in India. Further more the adjoining states of Iran and Afghanistan were Muslim states.
Brothers and Sisters! Pakistan being a new state was a developing country. But there was a lot of wealth in Middle East States which could be used to exploit the resources.
Brothers and Sisters! In a nutshell, Allah (SWT) had equipped the Muslims and provided with all the resources to revive the Ethical Values. But the human mind could not get rid of from the influence of Paganistic Values and the situation is getting worst and worst.
Brothers and Sisters! However, the time is not lost. The state of Pakistan is still in existence.
