Qur’an is Transfixed in

Every Atom of the Universe

Brothers and Sisters!

Assalam o Alleyykum

The question must have emerged in mind while reading the topic of the article how Qur’an can be transfixed in every soul of human beings let alone in every atom while the Qur’an was revealed 1400 years ago over a period of 23 years to the Khatim ul Anbiyya Hazrat Mohammed (SAW).

Brothers and Sisters! Moreover, the question will also emerge that how the Qur’an can be transfixed in the non – botanical matters which are lifeless, botanical matters which grow from the earth and the animals, though they have life in them but do not have perception and comprehension.

Brothers and Sisters! Furthermore, how the text of the Qur’an can be transfixed in human mind unless and until he will reads it.

Brothers and Sisters! To learn about how the text and context and substance of the Qur’an exist not only in every human soul and in every atom of the universe but also abide by Its (Qur’an) teachings, we have to explore and extract the history and make a research.

Brothers and Sisters!

  • Allah’s Entity is in Gaib (Unseen). Therefore a human eye cannot see Him (SWT).

  • In this scientific age the existence of Allah (SWT) is denied. Therefore, the minds who do not believe in the existence of Allah (SWT), it will be meaningless that the Qur’an is Book of Allah and exists in every human soul and atom of the universe. However, for the sake of argument, they should assume that Allah (SWT) is Lone Entity and Allah (SWT) exist since Azal i.e. Day one.

  • Now that it is believed that Allah (SWT) is Lone Entity and exists since Azal, then we have to believe that this universe never existed since Day One.

Brothers and Sisters! The context and substance of Hadith e Qudsi is where Allah (SWT) said to Khatim ul Anbiyya (SAW):

I was a hidden Treasure.

I wished to be recognised.

So I created Jinn and Inss.

Brothers and Sisters!

  • This is a natural phenomenon that when a person is alone he wants to meet another person so that he can introduce himself to him.

  • But Entity of Allah (SWT) was Lone Entity. There was no contemporary of Allah (SWT), so how He (SWT) could have introduced Himself. Therefore, Allah (SWT) had to create entities to whom He (SWT) could introduce Himself (SWT) i.e. to tell them what powers He (SWT) has and that He (SWT) is in control of everything.

  • The circumstantial evidence depicts that as Allah (SWT) is Aleem (Knower of everything), so Allah (SWT) Knew which creations are to be created and what will be the object of their creation and what will be their duties and responsibilities, and for this purpose there has to be guidance.

  • To discharge the duties and responsibilities there has to be guide line, a programme and rules of procedure. So Allah (SWT) arranged the guide line, programme and rules of procedure in the form of Qur’an. As Allah (SWT) Himself devised the Qur’an, so it is determined as Word of Allah.

Brothers and Sisters! In our worldly day to day life when a guide line, programme is devised mentally then the need arises to save it so that it can be referred to in case one forgets and also to communicate to others i.e. through correspondence and information technology.

Brothers and Sisters!

  • Allah (SWT) is Aleem. He (SWT) is in control of everything. Allah (SWT) cannot forget. However, as Allah (SWT) had to create element of forgetfulness and it was the creations who had to follow the teachings of the Qur’an, so Allah (SWT) determined that the Qur’an ought to be ascribed. Therefore, first thing which was created was ‘Qalam’ (pen).

  • Allah (SWT) Commanded Qalam (pen) to ascribe the Qur’an.

Brothers and Sisters! As per narrations Allah Commanded ‘Qalam’ to ascribe the Qur’an. This denotes
that the ‘Qalam’ knew the text of the Qur’an. Had ‘Qalam’ not known the text of the Qur’an then that would have asked Allah (SWT) what to write?

Brothers and Sisters! Therefore, it is perfectly safe to assume that first Allah transfixed the text of the Qur’an in ‘Qalam’ and then Allah Commanded it to ascribe the Qur’an. Brothers and Sisters! It is understandable, that the text of the Qur’an was in the Qalam just like that if there is no ink in a pen how will it write.

Brothers and Sisters! This is revealed in the Qur’an that the Qur’an has been ascribed and is persevered upon Lauh Mahfuz (preserved tablets)

Translation Surah Az Zukhruf Ayat no. 2 – 4

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

By the manifest Book (i.e. this Qur’an that makes things clear).

Verily, We have made it a Qur’an in Arabic that you may be able to understand (its meaning and its admonitions).

And verily, it (the Qur’an) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) with Us, indeed exalted, full of wisdom.

Translation Surah al Buruj Ayat no. 20 – 21

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Nay! This is a Glorious Qur’an,

(Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablets)

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that when Allah (SWT) intended to create the creations to introduce Himself (SWT) then a system was required for their up keep i.e. food, clothing, residence and other necessities of life. So before the creation of the creations Allah (SWT) created this universe. This fact is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al A’raf Ayat no 54

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Indeed your Lord is Allah Who created heavens and the earth in Six Days,

and then He rose over (Istawa) the Arsh (really in a manner that suits His Majesty).

He brings the night a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command.

Surely, His is the Creations and Commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

Brothers and Sisters!

  • When Allah (SWT) created the creations: earth, heavens and mountains, then it was obvious that they had to be told the object of their creation and guidelines to achieve the object.

  • As the Qur’an is Word of Allah, its text, context and substance was transfixed in the disposition of earth, heavens and the mountains.

  • The circumstantial evidence depicts that Allah (SWT) would have first created Angels to introduce Himself (SWT). When Angels were created they also needed to be made aware of the object of their creation, so the Qur’an was transfixed in their disposition so that they are also aware of the scope of their duties and responsibilities.

  • The circumstantial evidence also depict that after the creation of Angels, Jin’nat (Spirits) were created and the Qur’an was transfixed in their disposition to let them know the object of their creation and what duties and responsibilities they were expected of.

  • At last but one Hazrat Adam (PBUH) were created and thereafter Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were created from the rib of Hazrat Adam (PBUH). A programme was devised that when they will mate then their offspring will emerge.

The Qur’an was transfixed in their souls and as, per narrations, all the offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH) had emerged and all the offspring had the Qur’an transfixed in their souls.

  • In the end animals were created to be service to the mankind. The Qur’an was also transfixed in their souls.

Brothers and Sisters! When all the creations were created, Allah (SWT) gathered all the creations and asked them if they will honour Al Amanah amicably to fulfil the object of their creation. This aspect is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al Ahzab Ayat no 72

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all that the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah’s Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).

Brothers and Sisters! When Allah (SWT) asked the creations that if they will honour Al Amanah amicably, Allah (SWT) also told them that if they failed to honour Al Amanah amicably they will be punished. This aspect is also revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al Ahzab Ayat no 73

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

So that Allah will punish the hypocrites men and women, and the men and women who are al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers, in the Oneness of Allah, and His Messenger Mohammed (SAW)). And Allah will pardon (accept the repentance of) the true believers of the Islamic Monotheism, men and women. And Allah is Ever Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Brothers and Sisters! In the above Ayat the mention is only about men and women. Ulema e Karam have derived that as human being is Ashraf ul Makhlukat, so let them (men and women) know about the consequences of failure to honour Al Amanah denotes that every creations was made aware of it.

Brothers and Sisters! In the Ayat no. 72 it has been revealed that earth, heavens and the mountains excused themselves to honour Al Amanah. Why? because they assessed that should they not be able to honour Al Amanah amicably they will not be able to bear the Torments of Allah (SWT). However, they were not relieved that they will not fulfil the object of their creation. When they excused themselves not to be able to honour Al Amanah, it was determined that should they not be able to honour al Amanah amicably, they will not be tormented.

Brothers and Sisters! When mankind accepted that they will honour Al Amanah amicably then another covenant was entered between Allah (SWT) and mankind where mankind was asked to believe in Allah as their Rabb i.e.

  • Provider,
  • Preserver,
  • Cherisher,
  • Sustainer.

Brothers and Sisters! This aspect is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al A’raf Ayat no 172

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying):

“Am I not your Lord?”

The said: “Yes! We Testify”,

Lest you should say on the Day pf Resurrection: Verily, we have been unaware of this.

Brothers and Sisters! Ulema e Karam elaborate that by entering this Covenant mankind agreed that they will not enjoin any other entity along with Allah to be worshipped. This aspect is also revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al A’raf Ayat no 173

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Or lest you should say: “It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendents after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?”

Conclusion

Brothers and Sisters! The conclusion of the above representations boils down to is:

  • Allah (SWT) is Lone Entity. He (SWT) is Aleem, Baseer and Samee (Knower, Seer, Hearer) and Hakeem.

  • Qur’an is Word of Allah and is comprehensive Code of Life where there is guidance for every creation. Because of Allah (SWT) being Lone Entity and the Qur’an being Word of Allah, there is no other source to receive the guidance so Allah (SWT) transfixed the Qur’an in the disposition of every creature and every creation: earth, heavens and mountains has the attributes of thinking, learning and comprehension which a naïve mind may not be able to understand.

  • The reason for the attributes of thinking, learning and comprehension in earth, heavens and mountains is that had they not had these attributes then how they could have determined that they will not be able to honour Al Amanah.

Brothers and Sisters! Now the question will emerge in mind that there should be an example which depict that earth, heavens and mountains have the attributes of thinking, learning and comprehension.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah (SWT) has revealed an example in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al Anbiyya Ayat no. 68 – 69

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

They said: “Burn him and help your alihah (gods), if you are going to do something..”

We (Allah) said: “O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!”

Brothers and Sisters! The perspective of the above Ayat of the Qur’an is as follows:

  • Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) were commissioned towards His (PBUH) people in the times when Namrood was head of state

  • Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) used to forbid people from idol worship. But they did not listen to Him (PBUH) and kept worshipping idols.

  • One day the people went to a fair. Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) went to house of idols and broke all the idols except the big one and placed the axe on its shoulder.

  • When people came back from fair and went to the house of idols they saw that all the idols were broken.

  • People called for Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) and asked Him (PBUH) that has He broken the idols?

  • Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) replied to the effect that ask the big idol, the axe is on its shoulder.

  • People said that How can we ask him? He cannot speak.

  • Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) said to the effect that this is what I say to you that they cannot do anything so do not worship them. You worship Allah (SWT) who is your Rabb and provides you everything.

  • People did not appreciate this logic and they went to Namrood and complained that Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) has broken all the idols.

  • Namrood ordered to light a fire and throw Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) into the fire, so that the fire will burn him and it will be His (PBUH) end.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) were thrown into the fire, Allah (SWT) Commanded fire:

“O fire!

Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!”

Brothers and Sisters! While listening to the Command of Allah (SWT) the fire became Gulzar (garden) for Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) and burnt the string with which His (PBUH) hands were tied.

Brothers and Sisters! Let us try to make an analysis of the Ayat:

“O fire!

Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!”

Brothers and Sisters! The Command of Allah (SWT): “O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!” is answer to a question. In other words the fire questioned Allah (SWT) on the basis that the attribute of fire is to burn or to provide warmth and why Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) should be burned while He (PBUH) is Nabi of Allah and Anbiyya e Karam are innocent.

Brothers and Sisters! The fire knew about the innocence of Anbiyya e Karam because the Qur’an had been transfixed in its disposition.

Brothers and Sisters! When fire heard the Command of Allah (SWT): “O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!” there was a message in it that neither too cool that Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) feel cold nor less cool that Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) feel warmth.

Brothers and Sisters! Now let us make an analysis how the fire controlled its temperature.

Brothers and Sisters!

  • Following facts can be derived through the question and answer between Allah (SWT) and fire:

  • fire possess the attributes of speaking, thinking and making analysis

  • fire possesses the ability to control the temperature

  • fire knows about the bounds of temperature where the temperature will be moderate

  • fire has ability to determine the dimension of the temperature within the specific areas. For example: Fire became cool for Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) but burnt the string with which His (PBUH) hands were tied.

Brothers and Sisters! If the above attributes had not possessed by fire then to say: “O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!” was meaningless.

Brothers and Sisters! The above rational analysis proves that the Qur’an is transfixed in the disposition of every creation of the universe and it understands and appreciates it and also follows it.

Brothers and Sisters! The above analysis also gives the answer to the question that why earth, heavens and mountains excused themselves to honour Al Amanah.

How?

Brothers and Sisters! If the fire could not keep its temperature at moderate level for Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) where He (PBUH) felt uncomfortable then the fire would have been punishable by the Torment of Allah (SWT). Because earth, heavens and mountains did not have confidence that they will be honour Al Amanah amicably they excused themselves.

Brothers and Sisters! In this article there is only mention of earth, heavens and mountains while there are innumerable creations pf Allah (SWT).

Brothers and Sisters! Ulema e Karam have elaborated that whatever is earth, heavens and mountains and whatever will be produced in future, all is included in them.

For example:

Earth

Brothers and Sisters! The creations which emerge grow in earth and seas are all included in the term ‘Earth’ along with properties in every matter.

Heavens

Brothers and Sisters! In the term ‘heavens’ all the sun, stars, moon, planets, galaxies are included.

Mountains

Brothers and Sisters! All the minerals e.g. iron, copper, gold, diamonds, coal, which are in existence or will emerge if future are included in the term ‘mountains’.

Brothers and Sisters! Everything whether it is visible or invisible, is combination of ‘atoms’. Every ‘atom’ is an individual entity. Therefore it is perfectly right to assume that the Qur’an is transfixed in every ‘atom’ and it understands it, appreciates it and follows it and also obedient to Allah (SWT).

Brothers and Sisters! It is revealed in the Qur’an many a times that every creation does Dhikr of Allah (SWT). For example:

Translation Surah Al Hadid Ayat no. 1

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah – and He is the All – Mighty, All – Wise.

Brothers and Sisters!

Dhikr of Allah (SWT) can only be made

when Qur’an is in disposition.

LAST WORD

Brothers and Sisters! The above analysis proves that the Qur’an has been transfixed in the disposition of every ‘atom’ and every atom is Praising Allah (SWT) and also obedient to Him (SWT).

EXISTENCE OF ALLAH (SWT)

Brothers and Sisters! Although the Entity of Allah (SWT) is in Gaib (unseen), but every soul can be a witness that Allah (SWT) exists.

How

?

Brothers and Sisters! When there is an agreement between two parties then the two parties meet and they can be each others witness. However, if there is curtain between the two parties, although they cannot see each other but they can talk, listen to each other, enter into an agreement. For example: Non Mahram man and woman can converse with each other while there is curtain between them.

Brothers and Sisters! The two Covenant entered between Allah (SWT) and mankind, the circumstantial evidence depict that Allah (SWT) must have been on Arsh and the souls of mankind would have been in front the Arsh.

Brothers and Sisters! The first Covenant was entered in respect of Al Amanah:

Translation Surah Al Ahzab Ayat no 72

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all that the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah’s Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).

Brothers and Sisters! The second Covenant was in respect of to believe Allah (SWT) as Rabb:

Translation Surah Al A’raf Ayat no 172

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

And (remember) when you Lord brought forth from Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying):

“Am I not your Lord?”

The said: “Yes! We Testify”,

Lest you should say on the Day pf Resurrection: Verily, we have been unaware of this.

Brothers and Sisters! The above Covenants between Allah (SWT) and Mankind are evidence that although the souls may not have seen the Entity of Allah (SWT) but they observed the existence of Allah (SWT) because no covenant can be entered unless and until the existence of other party is known. Moreover, there had been conversation between Allah (SWT) and Mankind on one to one basis.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah (SWT) has mentioned His (SWT) Entity as Nur (light). This fact is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah An-Nur Ayat no 35

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.

The parable of His light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp; the lamp is in a glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive,

neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it.

Light upon Light! Allah Guides to His light whom He Wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.

Brothers and Sisters! A human eye cannot see the Entity of Allah (SWT). When Hazrat Musa (PBUH) petitioned Allah (SWT) the sight of His (SWT) Entity, Allah (SWT) told Him (PBUH) to the effect that a human eye cannot bear the sight of His (SWT) Entity. To tell Hazrat Musa (PBUH) that a human eye cannot bear the sight of His (SWT) Entity, Allah revealed His (SWT) manifestation (light) upon the mountain and that turned into pieces and Hazrat Musa (PBUH) became unconscious.

Translation Surah al A’raf Ayat no. 143

بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

And when Musa (Moses) came at the time appointed by Us, and his Lord (Allah) spoke to him; he said: “O my Lord! Show me (yourself), that I may look upon you.”

Allah said: “You cannot see Me, but look upon the mountain if it stands still in its place then you shall see Me.” So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it collapse to dust, and Musa (Moses) fell down unconscious). Then when he recovered his senses he said: “Glory is to You, I turn to you in repentance and I am the first of the believers.”

Brothers and Sisters! There is context of Hadith that when on the Day of Judgement everything will be settled and the Mo’mineen will start living in Paradise and keep making use of the Bounties of Allah (SWT), then Allah (SWT) will reveal the sight of His (SWT) Entity where the Bounties of Paradise will look insignificant and Allah (SWT) will recite Surah Ar Rehman.

Brothers and Sisters! Ulema e Karam elaborate that by doing good deeds and refraining from bad deeds the Pleasure of Allah is secured and the Naffas keeps getting purified. Once in Paradise the strength will start developing in eyes to bear the revelation of the Entity of Allah (SWT).

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! The Lone Entity of Allah is in Gaib but every soul can be witness of the existence of Allah (SWT). However, to have a sight of the Entity of Allah (SWT), the condition is to do good deed and refrain from bad deeds and then while doing good deeds the effects of the Goods deeds will be enriched so that the strength is developed where the eyes can bear the sight of the Lone Entity of Allah (SWT).

May Allah grant us Toffeeq

To enrich our eyes to bear the

Sight of the Entity
of Allah (SWT).
