By Manager No.1

‘Marton’

Assalam o Alleyykum!

(Peace be upon You)

Marton! The stages of human life is:

  • birth,

  • childhood,
  • youth,
  • middle age,
  • old age

Marton! When mother and father reach old age, if they have no offspring or offspring cannot or do not want to look after their mother and father then they have to recourse to care home.

Marton! Care Home is place where the Old Age Residents are looked after by the care loving people in every respect in accordance with the policies devised by the administration based upon the guidance of the government. Moreover, the owners of the Home Care also have ‘Kind Heart’ to make such investment. In other words, their concern is not to make high profits but to help the old people to have comfortable life i.e. improve their health and be independent as much as they can.

CHRONOLOGY OF COMING TO HALF ACRE CARE HOME

Marton! I, 76 years old, happened to be a Temporary Resident at Half Acre Care Home Radcliffe, UK for the last, more or less, nine months. What made me come to the Half Acre Care Home, as below is the chronology:

  • I was diagnosed at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury UK that I had ‘Tumour’ in my heart and that has to be removed by open heart surgery at Manchester Royal Infirmary in UK.

  • On 1 November 2022 open heart surgery was carried out. Alhamdulillah! Procedure was success full.
  • For the reason that my life had been devoted to convey Messages to Look for Peace at international level, the house became dilapidated. The nurse who used to come at my home to inject to thin the blood, advised Social Services that the house appears unliveable and this house is not suitable for Mr Aziz to live after the procedure.
  • From Manchester Royal Infirmary I was transferred to Fairfield General Hospital. I was told by the Social Worker that the social Services will arrange independent flat where I can live independently. They accommodated me in the Temporary Residence; Falcon House, Bury UK until the independent flat is available.
  • Independent flat could not be found. As I was very weak due to the open heart surgery and back pains the Social Worker arranged for me to be accommodated in the Half Acre Care Home as Temporary Resident until the independent flat is available.

RECEPTION

Martons! As below is the chronology of the reception:

  • On 8 Feb 2022 I was interviewed by Home Manager and Deputy Manager at Temporary Residence in Bury. They interview was to see if I am eligible to be Temporary Resident in the care home. Alhamdu’lillah! They agreed that I am eligible to be Temporary Resident in the Half Acre Care Home. The Home Manager promised to come and collect me on the following day after 12.00pm.

  • I advised the Social worker Sara Boyes that the Home Manager along with her Deputy Manager came to interview me and Home Manger will come tomorrow to pick me up and escort me to Half Acre Care Home. She was relieved to know that I am going to the Half Acre Care Home. She also booked a taxi to take me to the Half Acre Care Home.
  • Following day Home Manager came to collect me. I had out all my luggage in the corridor that consisted of a number of carrier bags and a big suit case. In short, I handed her the carrier bags one by one and she took those to put in her car except the big suitcase.
  • The taxi driver wheeled the suitcase to put that in his car. The taxi driver escorted me to Half Acre Care Home. The Home Manager followed us. She escorted me to lounge of the care home. At the door the staff welcomed me and I was introduced to two Asian staff. I got the impression that they are Muslims. In the lounge I was asked to sit in the chair. I was exhausted. I just kept observing what is going on.it was Tea time. The residents were served with food and drinks.
  • Suddenly I felt that there was somebody had resting his arms beside the chair I was sitting. He politely told me that he is one of the chefs and I must be feeling hungry and if I would like to eat anything. Before I could answer, he told me that he has cooked cheese and onion pie and if I would like some chips with it. He served me with cheese and onion pie.
  • I did not know what was happening with my luggage. I was just observing. Suddenly I realised that I had left my upper denture at temporary residence. I told this to Home Manager. She said to the effect that I should not worry she will go and get that.
  • I asked the Muslim staff to escort me to my room. He nodded to the effect: just wait. After ten minutes he came to me and said to the effect: let us go.
  • The room no 10 was on the first floor. When I entered the room there were number of carrier bags on the floor. But the computer and radio were place on the desk, food in containers was put in the refrigerator, etc. etc.
  • The floor was covered with carrier bags. In short, I emptied the carrier bags one by one and put the items at their appropriate place. There were items which I did not need and kept them separately. The following day one of my friends came and we left those in my house which was and is also is in Radcliffe.
  • In the morning the Home manager came and handed over my upper denture she collected form Temporary Residence. She told me that no one opened the door yesterday evening. She again went in the morning and collected the denture.

Observation

Martons! I was and am very much impressed by the services of the staff under the auspice of Home Manager and the credit of such service goes to the administration being the devisor of the policies to run a Care Home.

Wass’a’lam

(May Allah Bless you)
