Assalam o Alleyykum

[Peace be Upon You]

Definitely it will be surprise for the readers that how everyone can be Muslim while there are different faiths e.g. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc

Brothers and Sisters! Let us first establish that mankind is

One Unit

Brothers and Sisters! Man and woman enter into wedlockwhich leads to the birth of offspring. Children get married and then there is birth of next generation and this goes on and on.

Brothers and Sisters! When generations after generation are born then a Family Tree comes into existence and the whole family is considered as One Unit .

Brothers and Sisters! Everyone believes that Allah created Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) and tied the knot of wedlock. When they were sent on earth they mated and the first generation came into being and thereafter when the children got married the second generation came into being. So if a Family Tree is drawn then it will depict that whole mankind is One Unit. Therefore whole mankind is like Brothers and Sisters.

Brothers and Sisters! Now that it is established that whole mankind is One Unit then let us now look at how everyone can be Muslim.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were created they were just human being. At the time Allah devised the criteria to be a Muslim was to believe in the Lone Entity of AllahWho is Creator of everything e.g. universe, angels etc.

Brothers and Sisters! So based upon the above criteria as the oncoming generations are offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH), therefore everyone born is Muslim.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Adam (PBUH) were created then all His (PBUH) offspring were taken out from His (PBUH) loin and given the shape of soul and these were inhabited in Alim e Arwah (Residence of Souls).

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that before Allah sent Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) on earth Allah gathered all the creations: heavens, earth, mountains, angels, jinn’at and mankind (souls) and showed them Paradiseand Hell. Thereafter Allah proposed to them that if they will discharge their duties and responsibilities i.e. Al Amanah   as per the Guidance of Allah then they will live in Paradise forever and if they will not discharge their duties and responsibilities as per the Guidance of Allah they will have to go to Hell. This is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al Ahzab Verse no 72



Truly, We did offer Al-Amanah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all that the duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allah’s Torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).

Brothers and Sisters! It appears that when the creations other than mankind listened they visualized that should they not be able to discharge Al Amanah amicably then they will face the Fires of Hell, they excused themselves. But when the mankind visualized that he will enjoy the Bounties of Allahin Paradise forever he came forward and accepted the proposition of Allah.

Brothers and Sisters! When mankind accepted the proposition of Allah, Allah warned them that should they not be able to honour Al Amanah then they will be punished and the one who will honour Al Amanah they will be forgiven:

 Surah Al Ahzab Verse no 73

So that Allah will punish the hypocrites men and women, and the men and women who are al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers, in the Oneness of Allah, and His Messenger Mohammed (SAW)). And Allah will pardon (accept the repentance of) the true believers of the Islamic Monotheism, men and women. And Allah is Ever Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Brothers and Sisters! When mankind agreed to honour Al Amanah then Allah asked mankind to enter in a pact where Allah will look after them in every respect and in return they will submit to Him (SWT) i.e. expend day to day life as per His (SWT) Guidance. This is revealed in the Qur’an:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no 172

And (remember) when you Lord brought forth from Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam’s loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying):

“Am I not your Lord?”

The said: “Yes! We Testify”,

Lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: Verily, we have been unaware of this.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah further warned them that everyone will be accountable for his own deeds and they cannot pretend that they followed the footsteps of their forefathers:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no 173

Or lest you should say: “It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendents after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?”

Brothers and Sisters! Allah advises mankind that they have been explained everything in detail so that they should follow the Guidance of Allah:

Translation Surah Al A’raf Verse no 174

Thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, so that they may turn (unto the truth)

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! In view of the above i.e. the whole mankind believed in the Lone Entity of Allah and agreed to adhere to the Guidance of Allah and became Muslim. Therefore, everyone born in this world is a Muslim.

DIFFERENT FAITHS

Brothers and Sisters! Question arises that if everyone is born Muslim then why there are different religions or faiths e.g. Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhismetc.

Brothers and Sisters! Mankind has been sent in this world for a test.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were created they were sent in Paradise to live forever and go wherever they liked and eatwhatever they liked. But as their creation was a test if they abide by the Commands of Allah, Allah grew a tree in Paradise and asked them not to go near that tree. Allah warned them that should they go near the tree and ate the fruit of the tree they will be losers. This fact has revealed in the Qur’an

 Surah Al Baqrah Ayat no 35

And we said: “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight, of things therein as wherever you will, but come not near this tree or you both will be the Zalimun (wrong doers)”

Brothers and Sisters! Mankind was created for a test, so Allah inflicted the element of ‘Option’ in his Fitrat (disposition), where they can opt for Haq (Right) or Batil  (wrong). In other words abide by the Command of Allah or oppose it.

Brothers and Sisters! Now the question arises that when mankind knows what is right and what is wrong then why he should opt for wrong?

Brothers and Sisters! Allah has inflicted element of Naffas (Psyche) in the Fitrat  (disposition) of mankind where it seeks enjoyment by eating, drinking, moving around and also enjoy the company of opposite sex. Now if one fulfills the wishes of the Naffas by legitimate means then he is within the limits set by the Guidance of Allah. But if he fulfills the wishes of Naffas by illegitimate means then he crosses the limits set by the Guidance of Allah. For example: when sexual urge emerges then if he satisfies his urge by mating with his wife it is with the Guidance of Allah. But if he satisfies the sexual urge by mating woman other than his wife it is crossing the limits of Guidance of Allah which is sin.

Brothers and Sisters! Besides the element of Naffas there is element of ‘curiosity’ in the disposition of mankind i.e. it is natural phenomenon that Naffas wants to know why he has been forbidden to do certain act.

Brothers and Sisters! It must be the case that there was curiosityelement emerging where Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were curious that why Allah has forbidden them to go near that tree, but the Command of Allah was forbidding them to go near that tree.

Brothers and Sisters! When Shaitan observed the curiosity element emerging in the minds of Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) he came forward and inclined then to eat the fruit of the tree.

Brothers and Sisters! Question arises who is Shaitan and what is his role. He is creation of Allah so why would he incline mankind to oppose the Command of Allah?

Brothers and Sisters! The connotation of Hadith e Qudsi is where Allah told Khatim ul Anbiyya Mohammed Ibne Abdullah (SAW) to the effect:

I was a hidden Treasure.

I wished to be recognised.

So I created Jinn and Inss.

[Spirits and Mankind]

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that first Allah created Angels. But they were too obedient. Thereafter Allah created Jinn’at and Iblees (Shaitan) was their chief.

Brothers and Sisters! Jinn’at were very mischievous so the Angels killed the mischievous Jinn’at by the Command of Allah. Iblees (Shaitan) was a great Scholar and worshipper of Allah. As per narration there was not a single piece on heavens and earth where he did not prostrate in submission to Allah. So, on the face value Allah allowed him to live with Angels.

Brothers and Sisters! When mischievous Jinn’at were killed Allah created mankind where He (SWT) inflicted both elements: submissive and mischievous i.e. he could opt for to be submissive or mischievous.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Adam (PBUH) was created then the question arose that as there are so many creations of Allah so what is his status because technically all creations equal.

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that to determine the status of the creations a syllabus was given to the creations i.e. knowledge of universe and its properties. It appears Hazrat Adam (PBUH) secured 100 per cent marks where his status was determined as Ashraf u Makhlukat (the Most Superior). Allah Commanded all the creations to prostrate before Hazrat Adam (PBUH) i.e. an agreement that they will be service to Hazrat Adam (PBUH). Angels and all other creation prostrated Hazrat Adam (PBUH) but Iblees (Shaitan)

Brothers and Sisters! Iblees wanted to be the Viceroy of Allah on earth. But when Hazrat Adam (PBUH) were chosen as Viceroy on earth he became jealous and did not prostrate before Hazrat Adam (PBUH). When asked by Allah why he did not prostrate he replied that he is superior to Hazrat Adam (PBUH) as he is made of fire and Hazrat Adam is made of clay.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah cursed Iblees and Commanded him to leave Paradise. In retaliation Iblees asked Allah to give him respite where he will digress mankind from Right Path where mankind will disobey Him (SWT).

Brothers and Sisters! Allah gave Iblees respite until the Day of Resurrection where he can incline mankind to digress form Right Path. This whole episode is revealed in the Qur’an:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 11 – 19


And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of human being); then We told the Angels, “Prostrate yourselves to Adam“, and they prostrated themselves, except Iblees (Satan), he refused to be of those who prostrated themselves.

(Allah) said: “what prevented you (O Iblees) that you did not prostrate yourself, when I Commanded you?”

Iblees said: “”I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay.”

(Allah) said: “(O Iblees) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced.”

(Iblees) said: “allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).”

(Allah) said: “You are of those respited.”

(Iblees) said: “Because You have sent me astray, surely, I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on your straight path.

“Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You).”

(Allah) said (to Iblees): “Get down from this (Paradise) disgraced and expelled. Whoever of them (mankind) will follow you, then surely, I will fill Hell with you all.”

“And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise, and eat thereof as you both wish, but approach not this tree otherwise you both will be of the Zalimun (unjust and wrongdoers)

Brothers and Sisters! So this is how Iblees was cursed by Allah and he took respite from Allah to digress mankind from the Right Path which leads to Paradise.

Brothers and Sisters! Shaitan tried his best to persuade Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) to go near the tree and eat the fruit of the tree but they were afraid of Allah and every time they refused to listen to Shaitan’s inclination to eat the fruit of the tree.

Brothers and Sisters! When all the efforts of Shaitan went in vain he played the trump card of love of Hazrat Adam for Allah. He asked them to the effect: Do you know why Allah does not want you to eat the fruit of the tree. They did not want to know. Then Shaitan told them that the reason Allah does not want you to eat the fruit of the tree because whoever eats the fruit of this tree he becomes Angel and he will not leave Paradise forever where he will keep enjoying the Bounties of Allah. To assure them that he is sincere he swore by the name of Allah that he is their friend.

Brothers and Sisters! Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) got trapped in Shaitan’s trick because; because of the love of Allah they did not want to leave. Moreover, Shaitan swore by the name of Allah and they did not think that anyone can swear by the name of Allah to deceive somebody. This has been revealed in the Qur’an:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 20 – 21

The Shaitan (Satan) whispered suggestions to them both in order to uncover that which was hidden from them of their private parts (before); he said: “Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save you should become angels or become immortals.”

And he [Shaitan (Satan)] swore by Allah to them both (saying): “Verily, I am one of the sincere well – wishers for you both'”

Brothers and Sisters! Allah has inflicted an element of ‘forgetfulness’in the disposition of mankind.

Brothers and Sisters! When Shaitan swore by Allah that he is their friend and told them that should they eat the fruit of the tree they will become Angels and they will live in Paradise forever, they forgot because of the love of Allahthat:

  • they are Ashraf ul Makhlukat (the Most superior)
  • they have been asked by Allah to live in Paradise forever

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 19

“And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise, and eat thereof as you both wish,

Brothers and Sisters! When they ate the fruit of the tree the dress of Taqwa (piousness) was taken off and they became naked and tried to cover their private parts with leaves and realised that they have been trapped by Shaitan where they were told by Allah that he is your open enemy:

Surah Al Baqrah Verse no. 36

Then the Shaitan (Satan) made them slip there from (the Paradise), and got them from that in which they were.

We (Allah) said: “Get you down, all, with enmity between yourselves.

Brothers and Sisters! When they ate the fruit of the tree Allah reminded them that had He (SWT) not told them that not to go near that tree and Shaitan is your open enemy?

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 22

So he (Shaitan) misled them with deception. Then when they tasted of the tree, that which was hidden from them of their shame (private Part) became manifest to them and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise (in order to cover their shame).

And their Lord called out to them (saying) “did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: Verily, Shaitan (Satan) is an open enemy unto you?

Brothers and Sisters! Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) realised that have wronged and pleaded to forgive them:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 23

They said: “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.”

Brothers and Sisters! The circumstantial evidence depicts that Alhamdu’lillah! Allah accepted their repentancebut Commanded them to go on earth as a punishment and live there for a certain period where they will be brought back by the plane of death. Allah warned them that on earth Shaitan will also be their enemy.

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 24 – 25

(Allah) said: “Get down, one of you an enemy to the other [i.e. Adam, Haw’wa (Eve), and Shaitan (Satan)]. On earth will be a dwelling-place for you and an enjoyment for a time.

He (Allah) said: “Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (i.e. resurrected).”

Brothers and Sisters! Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were sent on earth where their offspring will come into being. So Allah warned their offspring who were in the form of souls that how Shaitan deceived their forefathers so you should also be careful of his traps:

Surah Al A’raf Verse no. 26 – 27

O Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts) and as an adornment; and the raiment of righteousness, that is better. Such are the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations etc) of Allah, that they may remember (i.e. leave falsehood and follow truth).

O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitan (Satan) deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Haw’wa (Eve)] out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabiluhu (his soldiers from Jinn or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils) Auliya (protectors and helpers for those who believe not.

Brothers and Sisters! In view of the above as Hazrat Adam (PBUH) is a Muslim so All His (PBUH) offspring has born as Muslim.

Brothers and Sisters! As above is the introduction for the question that if all the offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH) is Muslim then why there are different faiths or religions: Islam Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhismetc

Brothers and Sisters! As it has been mentioned that mankindhas been created for a test i.e. if he follows the Guidance of Allah in his day to day life on earth. When Allah sent Hazrat Adam (PBUH) on earth He (SWT) told Him (PBUH) that the Guidance shall be sent through Angel where they will have to follow that Guidance which is revealed in the Qur’an:

 Surah Al Baqrah no. 38


We said: “Get down all of your from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me (Allah) and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.

Brothers and Sisters! At the same time Allah warned that the one who will disobey Him (SWT) they will dwell in Hell.

 Surah Al Baqrah no. 39

But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) – such are the dwellers of the Fire. They shall abide therein forever.

Brothers and Sisters! In short, every offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH) is a Muslimbut when he digresses from the Right Path he enters into the following categorie of digression:

  • Kafir (Non Believer)
  • Non – Muslim (who believes in Lone Entity of Allah but does not believe in all the Prophets)
  • Mushrik (one who enjoins deities with the Lone Entity of Allah)
  • Hypocrite (One who believes in Allah and Prophets by word of mouth but not by heart)
  • Fasiq (who believes in the Lone Entity of allah and All Prophets but commits sins

Brothers and Sisters! Let us try to look into the categories of digress in detail.

Brothers and Sisters! However, before we look into the categories of digression let us establish how the offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH) is Muslim in the depth of their hearts and minds.

Brothers and Sisters! Every human heart and mind believes in the Moral Values as below:

  • speak truth do not lie

  • be honest do not cheat or deceive

  • honour rights do not infringe rights of others

  • enter into wedlock and do not indulge in illicit sex

  • trade in Halal goods and services and refrain from Haram goods and services

  • obedient to head of state provided his policies are based upon Qur’an and Hadith

  • refrain from use of intoxicants as their properties lead to oppose the Guidance of Allah

  • do justice being independent

  • do not make changesand adaptation in the Books of Allah

  • respect your elders and be affectionate to the young

  • pay the dues to the government for the public services

  • worship Allah i.e. submit to Allah  and Allah only

 

  • do not gamble or speculate

  • do not pay or receive financial interest

  • do not commit crimes

  • etc.

Brothers and Sisters! Every human being believes in the above Moral Values and therefore, technically, he is a Muslim because all these values have been revealed in the Qur’an that is Word of Allah. Let us take example of Human Rights in which people of every faith believe in and is supported by Qur’an i.e. the Word of Allah:

Human Rights: Duties and Responsibilities

Brothers and Sisters! Everyone believes in Human Rightswhich is the name of  discharging duties and responsibilities. Why everyone believes in Human Rights because it has been inflicted in their hearts and minds.which is revealed in the Qur’an:

Translation Surah An Nisa Verse no 58



Verily, Allah commands that you should render back Al-Amanah (duties and responsibilities, to whom they are due) and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching which He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer.

Brothers and Sisters! In short, to discharge duties and responsibilities is Islamic Value one is born with which he cannot deny. So when one is discharging duties and responsibilities as per the Guidance of Allah he is acting like a Muslim.

HOW DIFFERENT FAITHS CAME INTO BEING

Brothers and Sisters! Allah created mankind and devised Way of Life which can seek Allah’s Pleasure and in return one will live in Paradiseforever and enjoy the Bounties of Allah which no eye has seen, no earhas heard and no mind can imagine. The Way of Life is named as: Deen e Islam i.e. Way to Peace and Harmony which everyone is looking for.

Brothers and Sisters! It has been mentioned number of times that mankind has been sent in this world for a test. To test mankind has been inflicted with elements of:

  • option

  • naffas (Psyche)

  • forgetfulness

    Brothers and Sisters! When one opts for wrong to satisfy the Sensual Appetite he digresses from the Right Path. Or when he forgets the right course and follows other than Guidance of Allah, he also gets digressed from the Right Path. For example: Hazrat Adam (PBHU) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) forgot that they were superior than Angels and Allah has asked them to live in Paradise forever where they digressed from the Right Path and as a punishment they were sent on earth.

Brothers and Sisters! Let us look at some elements which knowing or unknowingly have led mankind to digress from Right Path.

Illicit Sex

Brothers and Sisters!

  • When Hazrat Adam PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were sent on earth, obviously, there was no other human being. When they mated then the offspring came into being.

  • Allah has devised rule that brother and sister cannot get married. But if this rule had been adhered to then there would not have been next generation and once Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) and their offspring passed away then there would not have been any human being on earth and that would have been end of the matter.

  • Allah is the authority. He (SWT) can bend the rules. To resolve this issue every time Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) became pregnant she gave birth to twins: one boy and one girl. The circumstantial evidence depicts that when two twins were born Allah bended the rule that there should be cross marriage i.e. the girl born with Habeel will marry Qabeel and the girl born with Qabeel will marry Habeel.

  • Qabeel got interested in marrying the girl born with him. In other words he wanted to satisfy his sexual urge by illicit means.

  • In short, he killed Habeel to marry his sister born with him which gave rise to the oncoming generation to satisfy sexual urge by illicit means.

IDOL WORSHIP

Brothers and Sisters!

  • Human being is combination of body and soul. The circumstantial evidence depicts that every soul spiritually has seen Entity of Allah when there were two meetings between Allah and souls.

  • When the human body was given soul and the body became alive, the human eye wanted to see Entity of Allah.

  • In short, the mind imagined what Allah’s Entity looks like so he gave the stones a human shape and started worshipping the idol imagining that he is worshipping Allah.

  • When the next generation was born they saw their parents worshipping idol and there were told this is Allah. The children could not comprehend that in fact this is the imaginary shape of Allah given by their parents so they considered the idol Allah and started worshipping the idol. And this went on and on and on.

 

Shirk (Enjoining other deities with Allah)

 

Brothers and Sisters!

 

  • Allah is Lone Entity and is Creator of everything.

  • Human mind is curious and wanderer. It wanted to know how Lone Entity of can administer system of the whole universe alone. Likewise the head of the state who has cabinet of ministers so Allah must be having some assistants who are helping Him  (SWT) to administer the system of the whole universe e.g. growing food, water through rain, winds to keep the environments pleasant etc.
  • So they imagined the shape of the assistants of Allah and carved their shape on the stones and started worshiping them as well.
  • When they were asked why you worship them, they used to say that they are assistants to Allah and if we will worship them they will get us closer to Allah.

    Brothers and Sisters! This is how the element of Shirk started to emerge in human mind.

POWER: CONCEITEDNESS

Brothers and Sisters!

  • Conceit is Allah’s attribute as He (SWT) is the Creator. Mankind is creation and a creation cannot create anything. Therefore he should submit to the Creator i.e. Allah.
  • Allah is Creator of resources although on the face value mankind is creator of resources. As a rule when mankind creates resources he should attribute their creation to Allah. But when he attributes the creation of resources to himself, technically, it is tantamount to be proclaim being Alla  himself which is conceitedness.
  • When the resources become under his disposal then he thinks himself to be powerful and try to abuse his authority. There are example of Pharaoh and Namrood in the Qur’an who because of their authority proclaimed to be God.

Brothers and Sisters! Fir’aun (Pharaoh) was approached by Hazrat Musa (PBUH) to convey the Message of Allah and believe in the Lone Entity of Allah Who (SWT) had given him kingdom. But Fir’aun attributed the achievement to himself and ironically asked his prime minister to build a tower so that he can see Allah. He was so much conceited that he call Hazrat Musa (PBUH) liar (Nauz Billah):

 Surah Al Qasas Verse No 38

Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said: “O chiefs! I know not that you have an ilah (a god) other than me. So kindle for me (afire), O Haman, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a Sarhan (a lofty tower, or place) in order I may look at (or look for) the Ilah (Lord) of Musa (Moses); and verily, I think he (Musa) is one of liars.”

Brothers and Sisters! Similarly when Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) went to convey the Message of Allah to Namrood he showed his arrogance as well:

Translation Surah Al Baqrah Verse No 258

Have you not looked at him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom?

When Ibrahim (Abraham) said (to him): “My Lord (Allah) is He Who gives life and causes death.”

He said: “I give life and cause death.”

Brothers and Sisters! Namrood call for prisoner whose punishment was death, he set him free. Then he had one innocent man killed.

Brothers and Sisters! Then Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) asked him to cause the sun rise from West as Allah causes the sun to rise from East where he was defeated but refused to believe in the Lone Entity of Allah.

Surah Al Baqrah Verse No 258

Ibrahim (Abraham) said: “Verily, Allah causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you rise from the west.”

So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimun (wrong-doers)

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! The context of the above Verses of the Qur’an depicts that anyone who refuses to listen to the Message of Allah he is conceited and is on the footsteps of Namrood and Fir’aun.

CHANGES AND ADAPTATIONS

Brothers and Sisters! Scholars are heir to Anbiyya e Karam. So when people confront with an issue or have to seek guidance about day to day life they used to go to the scholars. So whatever the scholars will tell them they will believe that this is Guidance of Allah. In other words the scholars were like Allah to them.

Brothers and Sisters! When influential people used to cross the limits of Sharia where they could be considered as disgraced they used to come to the scholars and bribe them to change the Guidance of Allah in the Books of Allah so that they are not disgraced in the eyes of the people. The Scholars used to make changes and adaptations in the Books of Allah which is: 

                                        Surah Al Baqrah Verse no 78 – 79

And there are among them (Jews) unlettered people, who know not the Book, but they trust upon false desires and they but guess.

Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, “This is from Allah”, to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn by.

Satisfaction of Sensual Appetite

Brothers and Sisters! The fundamental test of mankind is that man and woman must satisfy their sexual urges by legitimate means i.e. enter into wedlock and then husband and wife should mate.

Brothers and Sisters! When Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and Hazrat Haw’wa (RTU) were sent in Paradise to live they were asked not to go near the specific tree and eat its fruit. When they ate the fruit of the tree they became naked and when they saw each other their sexual urge emerged.

Brothers and Sisters! If we make an analysis of the satisfaction of the sexual urge we will see that this leads to:

  • use of alcoholic drinks and intoxicants
  • gambling
  • lying, dishonesty, cheating and deception
  • infringement of rights and committing crimes
  • etc.etc.

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! In short, the above elements lead to different categories of faiths or religions:

  • Kafir (Non Believer)
  • Non – Muslim (who believes in Lone Entity of Allah but does not believe in all the Prophets)
  • Mushrik (one who enjoins deities with the Lone Entity of Allah)
  • Hypocrite (One who believes in Allah and Prophets by word of mouth but not by heart)
  • Fasiq (who believes in the Lone Entity of Allah and All Prophets but commits sins)

Brothers and Sisters! Now let us look the definition of the above in detail:

Kafir

Brothers and Sisters! When a Muslim does not believe in the Existence of Allah he is termed as Kafir i.e. Non Believer.

Brothers and Sisters! The literal meaning of Kafir is the one who hides. Because this born Muslim hides the belief which he has confessed in the two meetings with Allah i.e. does not believe in the Existence of Allah, he enters in the category of digression of being Kafir.

Brothers and Sisters! Why a Kafir is still technically a Muslim because he believes in the Islamic Values mentioned above:

  • speak truth do not lie
  • be honest do not cheat
  • honour rights do not infringe other’s rights
  • enter into wedlock do not indulge in illicit sex
  • do not make use of alcoholic drinks and intoxicants
  • do not gamble or speculate
  • do not pay or receive financial interest
  • do not commit crimes
  • etc.

Brothers and Sisters! Richard Dawkins who advertises that there is no Godhas got married three times. Why? Because it has been revealed in the Qur’an to get married:

 Surah An Nur Verse No. 32

And marry those among you who are single (i.e. man who has no wife and the woman who has no husband)

Non – Muslim

Brothers and Sisters! Non – Muslims are people of the Scripture.

How?

Brothers and Sisters! The criterion to be a Muslim is to believe in:

  • Lone Entity of Allah
  • All the Prophets commissioned i.e. from Hazrat Adam (PBUH) to the Last Prophet Mohammed Ibne Abdullah (SAW)
  • Angels
  • Books of Allah
  • Taqdeer (Fate)
  • Day of Resurrection

Brothers and Sisters! People of the Scripture believe in all the above except that they do not believe that Mohammed Ibne Abdullah  (SAW) is the Last Prophet commissioned by Allah so they are regarded as Non – Muslim.

Mushrik

Brothers and Sisters! Mushrik is the one who enjoins other deities with the Entity of Allah. For example:

  • Christians enjoin Hazrat Essa (Jesus) and His (PBUH) mother with the Lone Entity of Allah i.e. the belief in Trinity
  • People believe that Allah has given authority to Anbiyya e Karam and the pious people. So ignorant people worship them with a view that they are closer to Allah so they ask them to fulfill their requirements. There are ignorant people who even prostrate the gravesof the pious people.
  • Idol worshipping. People imagined the outlook of Allahand carved the outlook in a stone and started worshipping the idol.

Hypocrite

Brothers and Sisters! Hypocrite is the one who has double standard. To achieve the worldly benefits he pretends to believe in the requirements as above but in his heart he does not believe in any of those.

Fasiq

Brothers and Sisters! Fasiq is the one who believes whole heartedly upon the criteria of being a Muslim mentioned above but he satisfies his Sensual Appetite by illicit means knowing that he is opposing the Guidance of Allah i.e. committing sins.

Forecast in the Qur’an

Brothers and Sisters! Allah is Aleem i.e. Allah is Alim ul Ghaib (Knower of Unseen).

Brothers and Sisters! In short, Qur’anhas been ascribed on Day One where in the start of the Qur’an Allah has segregated the above sects:

  • Muslims
  • Kafi
  • Hypocrite

Brothers and Sisters! As below are the Verses of the Qur’an:

Translation Surah Al Baqrah Verse no. 1 – 10

 

Alif-lLam-Mim. [These letters are the one of the miracles of the Qur’an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meaning.]

Muslims

This is the Book (the Qur’an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]

Who believe in Ghaib (Unseen) and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what We have provided for them (i.e. give Zakat, spend on themselves, their parents, their children their wives and also donate to the poor and also spend in Allah’s Cause – Promotion of Islam]

An who believe in (the Qur’an and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Mohammed (SAW)) and in that which were sent down before you [The Taurat (Torah) and Injeel (Gospel) and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell).

They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful.

Kafir and Non – Muslim


Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Mohammed (SAW) warn them or do not warn them, they shall not believe.

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing (i.e. there are closed from accepting Allah’s guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.

Hypocrites



And of the mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day” while in fact they do not believe.

They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not!

In their heart is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs, because they used to tell lied.

Reversion Not Conversion

Brothers and Sisters! Everyone whether he calls himself Jew, Christian, Hindu or Buddhist is basically a Muslim because he is born as Muslim. The connotation of Hadith is where the Last Prophet Mohammed Ibne Abdullah (SAW) said to the effect:

Every child is born on Fitrat i.e. Muslim. It is the parents who make him Jew or Christian.

Brothers and Sisters! As the child has born as Muslim, basically he remains Muslim. But when he digresses from the Right Path he falls into the category of:

  • Non – Muslim

  • Kafir

  • Hypocrite

    Brothers and Sisters! But when he realizes his digression from the Right Path and repents and begs forgiveness of Allah he reverts to Allah. For example: When a Fasiq who is though sinful but a Muslim realizes his digression from the Right Path and repents and seeks forgiveness of Allah, he is reverting to Allah. Similarly, Christians, Jews and otherwise when believe in the Lone Entity of Allah and Mohammed Ibne Abdullah (SWT) as Last Prophet where Qur’an was revealed to Him (SAW) then he reverts to Allah.

Brothers and Sisters! The term ‘Conversion’ is not right when a Jew or a Christian enters in the circle of Islam he comes back in the circle which he had left after the age of puberty i.e. when he digressed from the Right Path.

Brothers and Sisters! A child remains within the Circle of Islam until the age of his puberty even though he is born in a Jew or Christian family. Should he die before the age of puberty he will go to Heavens.

Brothers and Sisters! Question arises that why people are called Jews and Christian?

Brothers and Sisters! In short, people are called Jews because one of the son’s of Hazrat Yaqoob (PBUH) name was Judah so the followers of Bani Isra’iel used to be called Jews. Isra’iel is title of Hazrat Yaqoob (PBUH) so the offspring of Hazrat Yaqoob (PBUH) is called Bani Isra’iel.

Brothers and Sisters! People are called Christian because Hazrat Essa (PBUH) title was determined as Christ.

One Way of Life

Brothers and Sisters! Everyone believes:

  • Allah is Lone Entity Who (SWT) created Hazrat Adam (PBUH)

  • Mankind is offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH)

  • Mankind has been sent in this world to prepare for the life hereafter

Brothers and Sisters! Then how can there be different ways of live to be successful in the life hereafter.

Brothers and Sisters! The evidence of whole mankind being Muslim is that everyone believes in the same Moral Values mentioned above:

  • speak truth do not lie

  • be honest do not cheat

  • honour rights do not infringe other’s rights

  • enter into wedlock do not indulge in illicit sex

  • do not make use of alcoholic drinks and intoxicants

  • do not gamble or speculate

  • do not pay or receive financial interest

  • do not commit crimes

  • etc.

Brothers and Sisters! This means everyone believes in Moral Values set by Allah. So if everyone believes in Moral Values set by Allah then he has to be a Muslim.

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! The only Way of Life which leads to secure the Pleasure of Allah is Deen e Islam i.e. Way to Peace. Therefore, Christianity and Judaism are not independent religions. Independent religion is only Islam and everybody has been born as Muslim and remain Muslim until the time he departs from this world because he had the opportunity to revert to Allah. But if one dies while he was digressed i.e. he became Kafir, Non – Muslim, Hypocrite then then matter is between him and Allah. As per Qur’an and Hadith Kafir, Non – Muslim and Hypocrite will not go in Paradise.

LAST WORD

Brothers and Sisters! In view of the above representations you have time to revert to Allah because everyone remains Muslim as he was born as a Muslim. But his status will be determined when he dies i.e. if he did not revert to Allah then he will be determined as Kafir, Non – Muslim or hypocrite.
