Interview
with
Tariq Ramadan
In Search of Allah (God)
Dear Mr Humphrey
·
This letter is further to my letter dated 02 11 06 after I
listened to your interview with Muslim Scholar Tariq Ramadan.
·
The subject matter is ‘In search of Allah’. Therefore my
approach will be, first, to highlight those areas where one can believe in Allah rather than to have a
discussion on the attributes of Allah.
·
In this interview you raised a question: What is God?
Let
us see how Allah can be defined?
Mr Humphrys! On the basis that everything
in this world and universe has a definition, therefore the scholars have defined Allah:
- He is Lone Entity.
- He is Creator,
- He knows everything,
- He listens to everything,
- He sees everything,
- He is in control of everything.
Mr Humphrys! Unless one has a firm belief in
one’s qualities, he cannot be impressed by his thinking, actions and otherwise.
Let us take an example.
Mr Humphrys! When a leader of the party
is chosen by the members then they put their trust in him and if
he orders them to do anything they abide by it
irrespective of the fact whether they understand or not. When they are
doing what they have
been asked to do, they are trying to find the prudence behind the order because they think that as he is
their superior he cannot be wrong.
Let
us take this in another context.
Mr Humphrys!
·
If a leader of the party (first) makes a statement which is being opposed by the other party
(second), all the members of first party will defend the statement of
their leader digging out the points which can be used for the defence of their
leader.
·
I cannot assume that you have been in this type of position
because you have been a journalist over fifty years where you have been on the offence rather than the
defence which is the attribute of a
journalist. While I listened to your programme, I never have come
across where the interviewee has made you silent.
·
In view of the above you have to agree that the
questions:
o
What is God?
o
Who He is?
o
What He can do?
o
How He can do?
these are the questions raised by a student where a teacher has to answer.
·
The issue to
believe in Allah, there is a no
teacher who can give a satisfactory
answer though he has a firm belief in Allah. This
can be appreciated in this sense that everybody, some or how comes across a
situation where to answer to a question he says that he
understands it but do not
find the words to explain it.
Mr Humphrys! Now the
question arises that if a teacher cannot give a satisfactory answer then who
can?
Mr Humphrys! The answer to this question is that it is
the person himself who can give a satisfactory answer to himself and nobody
else can.
Therefore, if
you want
to
look for a satisfactory answer to the questions in your mind,
you have to admit that you have to look the answer within yourself. The
people who believe in Allah, they can guide you to think
about the areas where to look for. Unless you are ready for it, nothing will convince
you.
Observations Re – Today’s Interview
Mr Humphrys!
·
I have listened to your reservations about Islam very
carefully. At present what I can suggest is that Islam is not what is
presented by the Muslims of this age. Therefore you have to be patient to appreciate
the Real
Islam once you start to believe in Allah.
·
Please read the files on both CDs I previously sent you. I suggest these should be read as a general
knowledge rather than to read these with critical mind.
·
In the file: Analysis of Pope Benedict’s Lecture you will see the analysis of Muslims where they are
not only far away
but going the opposite direction of the Guidance of Allah. Alhamdu’lillah! I have made analysis
of Pope
Benedict’s Lecture in an independent manner.
You are a journalist. This Analysis of the lecture I have sent to muslim heads of
states, high commissioners, media, scholars, religious organisations,
friends, church of england, Pope Benedict. But nobody has acknowledged the context
and substance of the lecture and even the media has not brought in the
newspapers, while it is still a hot issue, though
there is no news in the newspapers. I have been browsing the Pope website regularly,
still now and then there is some news to this effect. In fact the muslim media ought to have
brought this on the front lines as in the article it has been
proved that the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) have eliminated the axes of evils, wiped out inhumane treatment and Islam was spread through the sword of Morality rather than
the iron
sword.
·
If you have read the files on the CD: Do Heads of Muslim
States Want Promotion of Islam? the facts are clear to you that
they even did not bother to reply my letters and even when
the book was published in Urdu language and a copies sent to them, even
that did not arouse their soul of Islam. Even the media is neither interested nor dare to publish
the news to bring to light the character of the heads
of the states.
Why I had to made
the above observations is because, I feel you are sincere in your
approach in search of Allah and your expressions in the
interview reveal that you want to get a satisfactory answer that you
are unlikely
to
get from anywhere other than yourself for which you have to wait. By wait I
mean keep looking for it where I shall try to give some guidelines.
·
Hopefully, my next letter will be after your
third interview.
Please acknowledge the receipt of my letters. You can acknowledge the receipt
of letter on my e mail: n_aziz27@hotmail.com. There is underscore, between ‘n’ and ‘aziz’ that has been
