Brothers and Sisters!     

Assalam o Alleyykum

    [Peace be Upon You]

Nabuwat (Prophethood) is integral part Deen e Islam as Allah’s Guidance has to be conveyed to the mankind until the Day of Resurrection so that mankind can become successful in this world and life hereafter.

Brothers and Sisters! It is natural phenomenon that there is chain of events to promote a cause through different personnel. Brothers and Sisters! The object of creation of mankind was that mankind should recognize the Lone Entity of Allah and when he fails to recognize then he should warned and the warning was destined to be given by Anbiyya e Karam.

Brothers and Sisters! Although Anbiyya were commissioned in different vicinities at the same time but all Anbiyya e Karam were destined to convey Message of Lone Entity of Allah which was Deen e Islam. The follower of Deen e Islam is termed as Muslim.

Brothers and Sisters! As per narration more or less 124,000 Anbiyya were commissioned but there are only around 25 names of Anbiyya mentioned in Qur’an. So let us try to determine the chain of Anbiyya e Karam under the light of Qur’an and Hadith. Brothers and Sisters! It has been revealed in the Qur’an that names of all the Anbiyya Karam are not told to Khatim ul Anbiyya  (SAW):

Surah An Nisa Ayat no. 164

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

And Anbiyya We have mentioned to you before, and Anbiyya We have not mentioned to you, – and to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah has revealed in the Qur’an that Anbiyya e Karam were commissioned one after another:

Surah Al Baqrah Ayat no. 87

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book and followed him up by with a succession of Anbiyya.

And We gave Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus (Gibra’iel (PBUH)). Is it that whenever there came to you Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant? Some you disbelieved and some you killed.

Hazrat Adam (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! Hazrat Adam (PBUH) were created by Allah. All the offspring was taken out from His (PBUH) loin which was to be born in the world. So He (PBUH) was given the status of Nabi (Prophet) so that He (PBUH) could guide his offspring to expend their day to day life in accordance with the Guidance of Allah.

Hazrat Nuh (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! Under the light of Qur’an and Hadith it appears that Hazrat Nuh (PBUH) were commissioned after Hazrat Adam (PBUH) departed from this world.

Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! After Hazrat Nuh (PBUH) there is mention of Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH). Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) had two sons who were to become Nabi:

·       Hazrat Isma’iel (PBUH)

·       Hazrat Ishaq (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! The chains of Anbiyya e Karam of the two sons of Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) are as below:

Hazrat Isma’iel (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! Hazrat Isma’iel (PBUH) is forefather of Khatim ul Anbiyya Hazrat Mohammed  (SAW). Insha’allah! The family tree will be ascribed in the Profile of Khatim ul Anbiyya (SAW).

Hazrat Ishaq (PBUH)

Brothers and Sisters! As below is chain of Anbiyya e Karam from the loin of Hazrat Ishaq (PBUH) who were given the status of Anbiyya:

·       Hazrat Ishaq PBUH) had son Hazrat Yaqoob (PBUH)

·       Hazrat Yaqoob had 12 sons. One of the sons Hazrat Yusuf (PBUH) was given Nabuwat

·       In short, Hazrat Yusuf (PBUH) became public authority in Egypt when He (PBUH) called his parents and brothers to Egypt.

·       After Hazrat Yaqoob (PBUH) and Hazrat Yusuf (PBUH) passed away the Fir’aun (Pharaoh) made Bani Isra’iel their slaves.

·       To get Bani Isra’iel out from the slavery of Fir’aun Allah commissioned Hazrat Musa (PBUH) and eventually Hazrat Musa (PBUH) took Bani Isra’iel and inhabited them in the Promised Land which is now Isra’iel.

·       After Hazrat Musa (PBUH) there is mention of Hazrat Zakria (PBUH) and Hazrat Yahiya (PBUH) and thereafter Hazrat Essa (PBUH).

Brothers and Sisters! Under the light of Qur’an and Hadith it appears the chain of Anbiyya e Karam flows from Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) and His sons Hazrat Isma’iel (PBUH) and Hazrat Ishaq (PBUH). Brothers and Sisters! Question will emerge in mind what about the rest of Anbiyya e Karam i.e. remaining from 124,000? Were they from Hazrat Ibrahim (PBUH) or otherwise. Brothers and Sisters! Qur’an and history is silent on this aspect.

Brothers and Sisters! However, for the sake of argument, does it matter? Even if the biographies of any of the Prophets other than Khatim ul Anbiyya Mohammed  (SAW) are not available.

Brothers and Sisters! It is Deen e Islam which was given to Hazrat Adam (PBUH) and every Nabi was given Deen e Islam, so the Guidance of Allah to expend day to day life is same.

Brothers and Sisters! Every moment of life of Hazrat Mohammed (SAW) has been ascribed which is role model for the mankind until the Day of Resurrection. Brothers and Sisters! Even if the biography of all the Anbiyya were available then the answer would have been the same i.e. they must have expended their lives as per the Guidance of Allah which would have been no different than the life of Hazrat Mohammed  (SAW).

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! Mankind is One Unit as whole of mankind is offspring of Hazrat Adam (PBUH). As mankind has digressed from the Right Path and has invented different theologies, so to bring mankind on single platform it is necessary that they should be made aware of the chain of Anbiyya e Karam so that they realize that the success in life and life hereafter depends upon by belief upon all the Anbiyya e Karam.

Brothers and Sisters! There are only around 25 names of Anbiyya e Karam in Qur’an. So can anyone say that he only believes in the Anbiyya e Karam whose names have been mentioned in the Qur’an but not the ones whose name is not mentioned in the Qur’an? Or anyone say that I believe in all the Anbiyya e Karam but one whose name is not mentioned in the Qur’an?

No! Not at all.

Brothers and Sisters! Let us try to understand that why one has to believe in more or less 124,000 Anbiyya e Karam to be a Muslim.

Brothers and Sisters! There are numerics: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. Now if you take out one of the numeric say: 3, will the rest of the numeric will be any use? 

Brothers and Sisters! So although the names of all the Anbiyya e Karam are not mentioned in the Qur’an but one has to believe in all the Anbiyya e Karam to be a Muslim.
