IN SEARCH OF ALLAH

Dear Mr Humphrey

·       Thank you for your letter that I received on 11 January 2007 while I was going to Glasgow to see my relatives and where you are based. I enclose a copy of your letter for reference as you receive so many letters where it may not be easy to identify the sender of the letter.

·       For further correspondence I have created an email ID for you where it will be easy for you to read the letters and other attachments in respect of the subject matter: In Search of Allah. The details are as follows:

E Mail address:                insearchofallah@gmail.com

·       Now I come to the subject matter: Humphrys in Search of Allah.

·       In my letter dated 2 November 2006 I stated that this issue need to be dealt with in stages. Therefore to appreciate the message in this letter the previous letters need to be read. Although you have the copies but I will send at you new email ID created where you can read those.

·       When you will read the previous letters, I believe, you will gather that the circumstances which led me to become writer of the books upon the religion of Islam and convey the Message of Allah at international level.

Mr Humphrys! As I had to deal with a journalist who is world renowned, therefore I needed more of his introduction to know more about him, his thoughts and otherwise.

Mr Humphrys! Being an author to deal with the issues at international level I also had to listen to the news, read newspapers and magazines etc. I have a collection of magazines: Times, Economist, and New Statesman. I had also a collection of newspapers since the year 2001. I was sorting the newspapers where I came across the articles written by you for the newspaper Times which I have put in the separate file. I shall be reading these critically to know about your thoughts and approach to life. At present I have found the following articles:

  • Journalists aren’t really the opposition, whatever they say 17 June 2001

  • Professional sport is a rip-off, so stop wasting money on it 24 June 2001

  • Never mind the labels, GM food is getting everywhere 8 September 2002

News:

Humphrys: Gag me and I Quit:  Observer 7 September 2003

Mr Humphrys! The third paragraph of your letter reads:

As far as I can tell from the small portion of the letters I have managed to read so far, most writers appreciated and enjoyed the programme. Many felt the way interviewees dealt with my questions were not sufficiently robust and they did not make a strong case. Others thought I hadn’t asked the right questions and that I wasn’t really “searching for God” but instead was merely trying to expose the weaknesses in my interviewee’s argument.

Mr Humphrys! No doubt you will appreciate that people would express their view according to their own understandings and beliefs about the issue. When I listened to you first interview with Dr Rowan William my impression was that:

You believe in Allah but you want to believe in Allah.

Mr Humphrys! This can be appreciated with an example that a son who has not seen his father for some reason or the other, believes that he has a father but he wants to look at him who is his father, how he looks like, what does he do, what are his qualifications, abilities, qualities, achievements etc. etc.

Mr Humphrys! My letter dated 7 November 2006 stated:

The issue to believe in Allah, there is a no teacher who can give a satisfactory answer though he has a firm belief in Allah. This can be appreciated in this sense that everybody, some or how comes across a situation where to answer to a question he says that he understands it but do not find the words to explain it.

Now the question arises that if a teacher cannot give a satisfactory answer then who can?

The answer to this question is that it is the person himself who can give a satisfactory answer to himself and nobody else can.

Therefore, if you want to look for a satisfactory answer to the questions in your mind, you have to admit that you have to look the answer within yourself. The people who believe in Allah, they can guide you to think about the areas where to look for. Unless you are ready for it, nothing will convince you.

Mr Humphrys! Now let us make a start how a mind can be satisfied that there is Lone Entity of Allah.

The nearest meaning of Hadith e Qudsi is:

Allah said to the Prophet Mohammed (SAW):

I was a hidden Treasure.

I wished to be recognised.

So I created Jinn (Spirits)

and Inss (Mankind)

[Note: Hadith e Qudsi means saying of the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) that He was communicated directly by Allah (SWT)].

Mr Humphrys! The scholars elaborate the word recognised as follows:

·       There is Lone Entity of Allah (SWT),

·       He is Creator of the universe, heavens, hell, solar system, stars, galaxies etc. etc.

·       He is in control of everything,

·       He never gets tired, never sleeps,

·       He is Provider of everything,

·       He need be worshipped,

·       Mankind will be accountable to Him on Day of Judgement,

·       The fate of mankind will be dependent upon the Deeds,

·       The life hereafter is forever.

Mr Humphrys! Each of the above aspects of recognition has its own field which is very vast and cannot be dealt with easily and in first attempt.

Mr Humphrys! First of all there has to be a rational analysis if Allah exists, because this was your question to your three interviewees as you made your views clear that you have an atheist or agnostic mind. Therefore the field of the first effort is if Allah exists.

Mr Humphrys! No doubt you will agree what goes in a machine or otherwise same will come out though in different shape and with the same properties but the intensity of the out coming produce and product will be different and will have different effect and impact upon the user of the produces and products.

For example:

Mr Humphrys! Wheat is grinded in between the two stones of a machine. The out coming product will be flour. If the wheat had been eaten on its own then it cannot be easily digested but when wheat is consumed in the form of flour it can be easily digested and will provide nourishment to the body that will have good effect and impact upon the body and soul.

Mr Humphrys! No doubt you will appreciate that when a student is educated i.e. he listens to the lectures of teacher, reads books, and observes day to day worldly life, experiences facts of life, where every type of knowledge is saved in the brain.

Mr Humphrys! On the matter of principle, what is saved that should come out in the form of expression through the mouth in the form of text what has been listened, read, observed and experienced. But this is not the case.

Mr Humphrys! I take your example.

Mr Humphrys! To be a journalist you have acquired education at high level and studied every type of knowledge that is saved on the plates of your brain. Now if a question is asked from you about a subject matter then your answer should be based upon the data that has been saved in the brain. It is just like, when at the young age at school, the students learn the lesson by heart, and when asked by the teacher, the text would be coming out from the brain. This indicates that although the answer to the question is right but the student does not necessarily understands what he was saying.

Mr Humphrys! Now, while securing education the element of understanding comes into being that whatever is listened, read, observed and experienced that must be understood.

Mr Humphrys! Now the question arises how whatever is listened, read, observed and experienced could be understood?

Mr Humphrys! The answer to the question is to think about it.

Mr Humphrys! Now when one thinks about the subject matter from which source the elaboration of the subject matter comes from? There is no book, no teacher, or anything else. Normally, the thinking is based upon a secluded place and normally the eyes are closed or eyes on the material object. Where the elaboration of the subject matter is coming from?

Mr Humphrys! While thinking, a contact is established with an unseen force. This unseen force exposes the properties of the subject matter dependent upon the data that has been saved in the mind in the form of listening, reading, observing and experiencing. The unseen force that elaborates the saved data in the mind is Allah (SWT).

Mr Humphrys! It has not been easy to express the above ideology to prove that Allah exists, as it is, I believe a different approach which I have neither listened nor read. I believe it was like you that though I believed in the Lone Entity of Allah but I wanted to believe in a rational manner.

Mr Humphrys! I shall leave this issue In Search of Allah at this point. Insha’allah! (Allah Willing) I shall keep writing you other aspects of this nature that made me believe in Allah in a rational manner. Once all the aspects of this nature are dealt with then I shall start dealing with the other aspects of recognition of Allah (SWT) mentioned above.

Mr Humphrys! I shall be writing you letter on two issues i.e.

  • In Search of Allah and

  • Deen e Islam i.e.  Way of Life, how different types of religion emerged.

Mr Humphrys! Although Way of life is dependent upon the revelation of Allah while you do not have a belief in His Entity at present, so please read these letters as a general knowledge which will help to organise your life if the Religious Values appeal to you and once you are convinced that Allah exists then you would not have to learn about these. However, everybody consciously and unconsciously believes that serenity of mind lies in the values of being independent i.e. honest, considerate, concerned which you are as I mentioned in my first letter dated 2 November 2006.

Mr Humphrys! My request is that as you are based in Glasgow, I shall be grateful if you will give me your Glasgow address as, I believe, it will reach you directly, where at BBC London address there is likelihood of letter being misplaced as a lot of mail is received at this address. However, the choice is yours.

Mr Humphrys! The attachments sent through the e mail: insearchofallah@gmail.com can be saved in your library where you will have easy access to read them. Please also browse the website: www.callforpeace.co.uk. I believe this will help you to know more about my project: Call for Peace.

Mr Humphrys! Before asking leave, I confess that I feel honoured by your letter. Let us hope we remain in touch for the ‘Good Cause’.

May Allah be with You
